Get ready! In the summer of 2021, The Big Trunk Trail arrives in town – the biggest, most unique outdoor public art event Luton’s ever seen. At least 30 vibrant, beautifully decorated elephants will trumpet along a free, fun, family-friendly art trail around the town’s key landmarks.
This fantastic event is being brought to Luton by Keech Hospice Care to celebrate its 30th anniversary and say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported the charity’s work over the years.
Each large sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist. On Saturday 3 July 2021, the elephants will parade into Luton – before leaving on Saturday 18 September 2021. You’ll be able to #SpotTheElephant and see your favourite sculptures one last time at a final farewell event on 8–11 October 2021 at Herd HQ. After this, the legacy of The Big Trunk Trail continues as at least 30 large elephants will be auctioned on Thursday 14 October 2021 to raise vital funds for Keech Hospice Care.
#JoinTheHerd and share in the excitement by keeping up to date with the latest news on The Big Trunk Trail’s social media channels, using @BigTrunkTrail. Don’t forget to #SpotTheElephant!
