As part of Keech Hospice Care’s 30th Anniversary celebrations, Luton-born Bake-Off winner, Nadiya Hussain joined forces with the Big Trunk Trail. A competition was launched for people to submit fun, colourful designs which paid homage to Keech Hospice Care’s 30th birthday. ‘Mandala Party’, designed by Esme Taylor was the winning entry, chosen by Nadiya herself. Artist Amy Bourbon then painted the sculpture, bringing the design to life. The circular forms in Mandala designs are used in Hindu temples to focus on cosmic and psychic energies. In Buddhism, the Mandala design is used to aid meditation and helps create a mental sacred space.
