Our Learning Programme
We invited schools and colleges to get involved in all the excitement of The Big Trunk Trail too. It has been a whole community effort!
Joining the 32 stunningly designed giant elephants on the Trail are 41 baby elephants. These youngsters of the herd have been adorned (and adored!) by schools and community groups as part of our Big Trunk Trail Learning Programme, an initiative generously sponsored by our Education Partners London Luton Airport Ltd and the University of Bedfordshire. These boisterous elephant calves can be found gathered in 6 indoor public locations along the Trail… as they require supervision!
At the end of the unforgettable jumbo event, each elephant calf will go back to its forever home in its creator school.
