Luton Business Improvement District (BID) was voted in for a second five-year term in 2019 with a realistic business plan and vision – to support business growth and investment in the town centre, and to build pride, loyalty, and positive perceptions of Luton as a whole.
Luton BID’s remit is to develop a sense of community with Levy-paying businesses within a defined area of the town centre, and to deliver projects, improvements and activities which directly impact upon their turnover and profit.
The BID’s sponsorship of The Big Trunk Trail ties in with all four of its key objectives – ‘Promotion’, ‘Environment’, ‘Experience’, and ‘Growth and Investment’. The momentous event will help showcase Luton’s wonderful businesses, promote the town centre’s accessibility and appeal, encourage a safe and attractive environment for workers and visitors, and support local business development after a challenging year. It will also enable Luton BID businesses to help raise awareness and funds for Keech Hospice Care and their adult and child hospices in the most spectacular way.
